The Pursuit of Happyness

Last night, I, with Dad, watched The Pursuit of Happyness which depicted the hardships of a bright and talented, but marginally employed salesman by the name of Chris Gardner. Chris suffered from unbearable pressure of life, but finally, he hears the knock of the happiness.
He has faith in heart. I would like to enumerate some impressive scenes as follows.
  • From an apartment in San Fransisco, to a cheaper motel, then becoming homeless, Chris went through too much difficulty.
  • Don't ever let sb tell u, u can't do sth. u got a dream, u gotta protect it. These words are what Chris said to his 5-year-old son, Christopher. Chris did so. He found that people can't do sth themselves, they wanna tell u u can't do it. For example, He was told that he was unable to work out the Rubik's Cube. But he succeed. In some other instance, he passed the interview in poor dressing, which seems impossible for common people. And, he stood out from the internship group constituting 20 interns. How can you expect that a man who has less working time than others eventually becomes superior to others?
  • He asks the gentleman who gets out of a convertible, What u do and how do u do it? Then he knows the way - be good with numbers and good with people. Maybe we should pay more emphasis on how rather than why. Also, he describes himself as the type of person, if u ask me a question, and I don't know the answer, I'm gonna tell u that I don't know. But I bet u what, I know how to find the answer, and I'll find the answer.
  • Movies are always an effective method to learn a language. Citing the adjectives possible and probable as example, Chris explains the difference - "Probably" means there's a good chance that we're going, "possibly" means we might, we might not.
  • Christopher tells a joke. One day, a man was drowning in the water, And a boat came by & said,"Do u need help?" He said, "No, thanks. God will save me." Then another boat came by. Said:" Do u need any help?" And he said,"No, thanks. God will save me." Then he drowned and he went to the Heaven, And he said,"God, why didn't u save me?" And God said,"I sent u two big boats, you dummy."
And I wrote down some significant points, most of which, can be seen in moumouduo's article.
  • If u want sth, go get it. Period.
  • Portable Bone-density Scanner
  • the Declaration of Independence
  • This part of my life is called "Being stupid"
  • This part of my life, this little part, is called "Happiness"
  • 14 dollars & 5 dollars
  • ......
